DEVOTION: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."(Matthew 7:7-8)

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."(Matthew 7:7-8)

"Ask",  Father, We come boldly before Your throne by the Blood of Jesus Christ to find mercy in our time of need!!    "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."(Hebrews 4:16) We are obeying your command to come with confidence and we know You will answer our plea for help because it's Your nature to listen to the cry of Your children!  You said if we ask, we receive- we seek, we find - we knock, it opens... In the verses in Matthew it says "everyone" that follows the protocol of those verses will get answers. Dear Jesus, we need answers to the cry of our hearts, we are hurting, we are sick, we are struggling, we are fighting but we are not convinced that we are winning. The bottom line is, we need You to step into our ashpile, the pile of ashes that's left from us trying to fix and control our lives. We know and are sure that if You step into the fiery furnace with us, this stress-mess will change because You change everything You touch.  Please Lord, just touch us, we don't care what You do because we know that whatever You do will be good. We need to see and feel the goodness of God.
"I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living."(Psalm 27:13). I'm believing to see the goodness of God in the land of the living, Lord let it be so!! Jesus, please rid our minds of the curse that thinks You are out to get us but rather let us get a revelation that You are a good God. I choose to believe the good not the bad, I believe in hope rather than hopelessness and I believe in You. We are all asking, seeking and knocking as we journey through life. We are constantly facing situations where we need you and right now we are overwhelmed with need. If not in our own personal lives, it's someone we know at work, church or someone around the world in a third world country.   "Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed:  because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me."(Psalm 86:17)   Just like the writer of this Psalm, we ask for a "Token" of good, a moment of truth that inspires us to keep trusting and believing You to touch us with Your power. O' Lord open the heavens and come down, invade our space and detach us from whatever is necessary that we may continue to enlarge Your kingdom.  In Jesus Name, Amen!!
