DEVOTION: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."(Hosea 4:6)

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."(Hosea 4:6)

"Forgotten Children"  In most cases when this verse is referred to, it is referenced in the context of ignorance. The meaning of ignorance is to not know something, there can be many reasons for not knowing certain things. If you read the entire verse you will find out the reason for this " lack of Knowledge",  is rebellion. This verse spoken by Hosea the prophet plainly says that these people are being destroyed because they rejected the knowledge that was presented to them by the man of God. The consequences of rejecting the Word of God spoken by His mouth piece are horrific. There are two things mentioned in this verse that will transpire in your life as a direct result of your walking away from the voice of God. (1) "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge"- The word destroyed means to be made dumb, to perish or to be destroyed.  (2) "also forget your children" - When you as a parent reject the Voice of God in your life, you automatically set in motion a series of events that will cause your children to be spiritually dead. The worse thing that can happen to a person is to break the pattern of Blessing in your family. What will your family legacy be?  Are you continuing in the faith and knowledge of Jesus or have you just walked away from God's clear voice for a more "politically correct" path?  "I will also forget thy children" is a strong statement coming from the Eternal God. If, due to your rebellion, God completely forgets your children because of a set of events  you set in motion, the generational curses you worked so hard to break will start all over again.  In the end, you have allowed your complacency to destroy your children. Please don't just be a spectator in the Kingdom of God but a participator. Hearing and obeying the Voice of God is the best thing you will ever be able to do for your children!!

DEVOTION: "Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field."(Zechariah 10:1)

"Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field."(Zechariah 10:1)

"Ask".    After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  Father, You are Holy, Righteous, Pure and we approach you in the Name of Jesus. We come before Your throne by the cleansing Blood of Jesus Christ!! Our prayer is, Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.   Please allow us the spiritual vision to see and experience Your kingdom on earth.  We know that you desire Your will to be manifested in the earth and that we have a purpose on this planet to expand Your kingdom.  We are keenly aware that we are in Your kingdom and that Your kingdom is in us.  Please Lord God, give us this day our daily bread and provide every need we have in every area of our life.  "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."(Philippians 4:19)  O'God, forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, our sins as we forgive those that have sinned against us. We forgive all those that have hurt us in any way, at any time and under any circumstances.  Please forgive us of every wrong thought, word and action!!  Please  lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:  Jesus, make the way straight, the paths smooth, the mountains low and the valleys level.  We thank You, Father, that we are protected from all evil and no evil will visit our dwelling.    "There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling."(Psalm 91:10)  Zechariah the Prophet says to "Ask ye of The Lord" for rain in the time of the latter rain, bright clouds and showers in the last days! Lord God Almighty, rain down upon us and shower us with Your blessings from on high.  "The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow."(Deuteronomy 28:12)
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever, In JESUS NAME,  Amen.

DEVOTION: "But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ."(Galatians 1:11-12)

"But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ."(Galatians 1:11-12)

"The Revelation of Jesus Christ" I recently read a short article by a Pastor on his newfound freedom in grace and I was excited to hear of his journey from legalism to grace. As I read the article and the comments from his friends, my spirit was grieved that so many people are still blinded by the evil of legalism.  My wife and I have been delivered from legalism for many years.  In the scope of things, we were only involved a short period so I guess I had forgotten how horrific the bondage of religion  can be. As I stated in a previous article, legalism is a dangerous thing that has destroyed many churches and people.  It's been almost 28 years since God  gave me a Revelation about Joseph that forever altered the course of our lives. As I began to preach the Word that the Lord had given me, I was not yet aware of how much people like the rules of religion and how attached they are to their particular church teachings. You need to understand that just because its taught at a church doesn't make it a biblical teaching.  It was a Revelation that would cost me the friendship of several religious fellowships, groups, and legalistic brethren. But even though I knew this message of Grace would be met which much disapproval by the "Religious Bureau of Investigation", I was willing to pay the price that it would cost to preach the Truth of Grace.  When Jacob sent his sons to Egypt to buy food, their brother Joseph looked so much like an Egyptian that his brothers didn't even recognize him. He wore Egyptian clothes, spoke the Egyptian language, married an Egyptian women but he had a HEBREW HEART. His brothers, however, wore Hebrew clothes, spoke the Hebrew language, etc.. but they had EGYPTIAN HEARTS.  There is a vast difference between the two, one represents the spiritual kingdom of God and one represents the system of the world. The only way you can be changed is by God's Spirit from the inside out, any other method will be a waste of your time and will ultimately destroy your life.  It's 2013, the end time move of God is here so for God's sake, please burn your golden calves of legalism, follow the Ark of God across the Jordan River to the land of freedom!!   "Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey."(Deuteronomy 6:3). It awaits you, but be aware,  as you walk away, there will be collateral damage.  Everyone won't be excited about your journey because it will punch holes in their religious rule book but the world is so much bigger than your captors would have you believe.

DEVOTION: " Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess."(Matthew 23:24-25)

" Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess."(Matthew 23:24-25)

"The Outside" In Matthew 23, Jesus openly confronts the legalistic leaders of His day and He hit the nail on the head!! You cannot fix the inside by cleaning the outside. Legalism is when you apply rules to your life that give you the false hope of becoming accepted by God. The reason that it is a FALSE HOPE is because the only thing that can change your life is the application of TRUTH! The reason Jesus was so blunt to the Pharisees is because their man made rules were destroying the lives of innocent people. The Apostle Paul was still pushing the envelope of truth in Galatians when he said that the false teachers of legalism should be accursed. "Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:7-8) Legalism would take days to explain, that is if it can be explained. The difficulty with trying to explain legalism is that the rules keep changing with each cultural change or with each new generation. At its core, legalism basically has a twofold purpose; (1) To give hope of appeasing God by applying man made rules to external man. (Which is completely void of the Grace of God and will not change the inner man nor appease God). (2) The second purpose for legalism is to give the preachers that control people through the "fear of breaking the rules" a sense of power over their flocks. "For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may GLORY IN YOUR FLESH. " (Galatians 6:13)
Be Advised!! You cannot get out of legalism by simply reversing the "rules" or living a "different lifestyle." Legalism is a product of human nature combined with the popular religion of the day and the only way out is by a "Revelation of Grace"! So many people have tried to get out of legalism by trying to bring things back into their lives that they had quit doing because it was against the rules of their religious organization. Legalism is trying to please God with the actions of the flesh and cannot be reversed by more actions of the flesh. The only way to be free is to "know the truth" and in this matter, it's the truth of how the Holy Spirit works in a Christian's Life. Serving God is a matter of the heart, in any culture or in any denomination. It will take a while but you really can be free!!

DEVOTION: "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever."(Isaiah 40:8)

"The grass withereth,  the flower fadeth:  but the word of our God shall stand for ever."(Isaiah 40:8)

"The Mayans". 11:11 pm, December 21, 2012 has come and gone and we are still here.  If you study the Mayan People, they were a very brilliant group of people, pretty amazing actually. Even though they were a very brilliant group of people, we may have assumed more than they intended.  The Word of God is the only word, past, present or future that you can have absolute trust in.   It's human nature to over-react to dramatic non-essential things and not react to matters of utmost importance. It's really amazing how many people spent their life savings on doom's day survival kits, special food, special generators, etc...  I'm sure the "peddlers of fear" still have plenty survival kits for sale at half-price by now for those of you that wish to stock up for the next "fear scam"!  The people that sell the doom's day supplies get richer each time we have a doom's day prediction.  (Remember Y2K)  If you would simply read the Bible and believe it, just think of the money you could save by not having to buy all this special stuff from the peddlers of FEAR. The saying that "death and taxes are the only two things that are for certain", well lets add a third one to the list.  Human nature will for certain do something dramatic in response to fear unless you deliberately tell it not to, every time!!  Fear does not come from God!!    "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."(2 Timothy 1:7)  Power, Love and a Sound Mind are all you need to make a calm, wise decision when faced with fear. The spirt of fear is consuming the minds of people so we must put on the armour of God and stand against it in the evil day.  Jesus warned us in the Gospels about this type of doom's day philosophy,  where people would say anything to control you  by fear.   "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many."(Matthew 24:11)   The next time you hear something that scares you to the point of frantically preparing for some doom's day event, just read your Bible. The Bible clearly outlines the future of the nations, of the world and the followers of Jesus Christ. The real question is, Are you a follower of Jesus Christ? If you do not know Jesus, I urge you to call on Jesus today because He is the Savior of the World.    Jesus has taken care of your future so don't get caught up in the spirit of fear, just put your trust in Him!!

VIDEO: The Last Shall Be First

The Last Shall Be First from Scott Boatner Ministries Int. on Vimeo.

DEVOTION: "Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."(Ephesians 6:13)

"Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."(Ephesians 6:13)

"The Evil Day". The Bible is filled with reasons bad things happen to good people. I know, you have been taught all your life  that we don't know why and God has a reason for "allowing" bad things to happen.  Some time ago I preached a series of sermons on "Why bad things happens to good people".  My text verse was;  "As the bird by wandering,  as the swallow by flying,  so the curse causeless shall not come."(Proverbs 26:2) The "curse causeless shall not come", in other words, there are reasons for every action on the planet. For instance, sowing and reaping, satanic attacks, speaking death over your life with words of hopelessness rather than words of hope and life, etc...
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."(Proverbs 18:21)   The list of reasons is quite a lengthy one if you will actually read the Bible for yourself rather than just listening to someone else's opinion.  It is what it is, we live on a sin cursed earth that is filled with darkness and evil people that are controlled by an evil spirit.
"The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good."(Proverbs 15:3) We are faced with both, evil and good, on the earth at all times. We must be wise and avoid evil if it's obvious but sometime we just don't see it coming. What can we do about surprise attacks?  There are some things that we have no way of knowing about, so avoiding them  is not an option?
"The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul."(Psalm 121:7). We walk by faith and not by sight so we must trust The Lord at all times, even on the good days. In an instant, you can be blindsided and a good day can turn into a nightmare before you know what has happened.   It can happen so fast and tragically that regaining the loss can almost be impossible. According to the Apostle Paul, we need to be clothed  in God's armor at all times for protection from evil. The Psalmist declared that " There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways." (Psalm 91:10-11). Give your ways and days to The Lord, He has you in His hands!!

DEVOTION 12/31/12- "Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end."(Proverbs 19:20)

"Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end."(Proverbs 19:20)

"Thy Latter End" Today is the last day of this year, 2012! We are about to plunge into a new year which always brings hope of a better tomorrow. Before we shut out the lights on the last year, please join me and let's take one last look. To me, it has been one of the most trying years of my life yet one of the most triumphant at the same time. At this moment I feel so inspired by God's Spirit but so human and so hurt by the painful moments of this past year. If I may be extremely transparent, the pain and tears of 2012 are almost causing me to be fearful of a new year. Then again, the spiritual precedents set in the past year have me so hopeful about the upcoming year that I can hardly wait for the clock to strike midnight. My family and I are part of a multifaceted ministry, in which thousands have been saved this year, yet some of our other ministries struggle to exist. A spiritual paradox, the best and the worst year all at the same time. It's in the early morning hours of December 31, my precious wife and God's Presence are the only ones present with me in our home at this moment. We have found ourselves in a late night of worship that has carried us past midnight into the last day of the year. In a few hours we will say good bye to the old year, it's tears, it's fears but we will carry the Spiritual Power gained in the past into our future. Once we embrace this new touch from God for our future, there won't be a trace of the tears of yesterday. The Master's Touch will wipe them all away and fill us with a new hope for tomorrow!! His counsel has instructed me and my hope is to be wise in my latter end. We have this promise in Proverbs, that in spite of yesterday, tomorrow will be better because by God's Grace, I will be better. "So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off."(Proverbs 24:14). According to the promise of God, my expectation will not be cut off but I will overflow with hope. "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost."(Romans 15:13) So I glorify God for the victories of 2012 and I embrace the trials because they have changed me. I accept the fact that I can't change every thing or every one but I know that God can change me and has done so. I refuse to waste my strength on battles I can't win thereby exhausting myself needlessly but i will use my God given strength for His Glory. I desire to be better tomorrow than I was yesterday. So by faith, I reach into 2013 with hope that God will do things beyond my wildest dreams! God Bless each of you in the new year.

DEVOTION: "The mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for thee, O my beloved."(Song of Solomon 7:13)

"The mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for thee, O my beloved."(Song of Solomon 7:13)

"The new and the old"   In this book, Solomon is referred to as "The Beloved" and his lover is referred to as "My Love".   In this verse there is an aroma of pleasant fruits at the gates of the city. If you will notice, the fruit is new and old. The old fruit refers to our past which, regardless of what it is, it has shaped us into whatever we are today. In real time, we are what we are but there is new fruit to be borne of us. We must enter the gate of the future, the morrow cometh, so we must run to meet it with hope and expectation.  At this point in Solomon's relationship with his "Love", she hasn't understood every experience but yet she says, with confidence, "I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me."(SS 7:10). She continues her statement of hope and confidence by saying,  "Come,  my beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages.  Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish,  whether the tender grape appear,  and the pomegranates bud forth:  there will I give thee my loves."(SS 7:11-12). It is a new day in a new year, let's run to meet it with the Love of God in our hearts. We are told that LOVE never fails so if we become the expression of God's Love in the earth, we cannot fail.  "Charity never faileth:"(1 Corinthians 13:8a). She was so in love with Solomon that she was desperate when not in His presence. She was addicted to him and he was addicted to her.  If you read the book in its entirety, you will notice that they move from one experience to another but at first she hesitates because she is so attached to the experience of their relationship that she doesn't want to move on to the new day!! As their relationship progresses she realizes that He is more important than an experience. Our experiences change, so enjoy them but don't get attached. Religions are built by people trying to re-play an old experience that was wonderful but in the past. When He moves, move with Him! Experiences are bound by time which is restricted to moments but He has no boundaries nor restrictions. Let's  enter the new year in the freedom of Christ, free from the law of sin, free to follow His vision for our lives. We mustn't allow the disapproval of others to hold us captive in some time frame, a mental snap shot of us from ten years ago or even yesterday.  Please don't allow someone else's image of you to define or identify who you are at present and especially not in your  future!!
"Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth;  shall ye not know it?"(Isaiah 43:19)  It's going to be good!!
