DEVOTION: “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

“The Lord Himself”  Our Lord shall come to the clouds and call us away very soon!!  If you have a relationship with Jesus you will hear that trump sound, if not, you will not hear that sound!! In order to be in that number you must “believe” that Jesus Christ is your personal Savior, the forgiver of your sins. For many years preachers, bible teachers and all Christians have talked about the day when Jesus comes back to catch His people away. Ladies and Gentlemen, that day is here, the prophetic word is being fulfilled and all things prophetic are saying with a resounding voice that we are close to that time. In the New Testament Jesus, Paul and John gave us “last days” things to look for when Jesus is about to come. The list includes intensified weather, disease, earthquakes, perilous times, intelligence that is actually ignorance.  I could continue but it’s simple to see that the Bible and the news headlines match in reference to the times in which we live. The nations of the world are all falling into their prophetic places in pre-written history, called PROPHESY.  If you attend a Bible based church, you are very aware that we are about to make our exit and the 7 year tribulation period will automatically begin to unfold. The time that the Bible calls, “Jacob’s Trouble” for the redemption of Israel and the alignment of the nations of the world.    ”Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.”(Jeremiah 30:7)  The “Wrath of God” will be poured out on this earth that is beyond human comprehension.  We that are washed in the Blood of Jesus will not be here, we will be at the judgement seat of Christ. You will search in vain to find the church, as we know it, in the tribulation period. It has nothing to do with the church but is for Israel and the nations of the world.   “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,”(1 Thessalonians 5:9)  In the book of Revelation chapter 6-19, you will find a vivid description of the “Wrath of God”, and no mention of the Glorious Bride of Christ. We are instructed by the Apostle Paul to look for the “Blessed Hope” not the wrath of hopelessness.
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;”(Titus 2:13)  If you are saved, your prepared, so quit spending your savings buying “special supplies” from “special people” to prepare for a period of time that you will never see or experience. Jesus has got your future,  so quit worrying about something He’s already taken care  of for you.

DEVOTION: "And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;"(Isaiah 49:2)

"And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;"(Isaiah 49:2)

"Sharp Swords". A sword is a weapon of war that is used in close hand to hand combat. In the real world,  we spend most of our warfare on the defensive side of the war. The fight in us doesn't rise up until we are attacked and then we are on the defense. Isaiah makes it clear that we are a weapon in the hands of God. We should become more aware that we need to be an offensive weapon because our enemy never changes. I know the things he throws at us are different to get us off of our game but he is the same enemy that we have been fighting for centuries.   We need  to train our minds to be aware that we can be offensive everyday by simply speaking the Word of God, the Sword of God!!
" and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:"(Ephesians 6:17b)
When you rise each day, make the devil aware that you are on the move, war-ready and have no FEAR!!   "And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the LORD set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled;"(Judges 7:22). We are warriors in the army of God, we need to blow our trumpets and flash our swords in the face of the enemy every morning. Let's put him on the run for a change, let's act like God's children and put the devil under our feet.   "Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet."(Psalm 91:13)
Isaiah says that God has us "hid" which means that God has us covered, in a secret place, protected in His quiver, in His hand!!  We are empowered by the Holy Spirit, He indwells us and is available 24/7 to function on our behalf to make us winners, wise to the actions of the enemy.  Let's get off the bench, into the game and make something happen that makes our life better for the Glory of God.   "I have pursued mine enemies,  and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed. I have wounded them that they were not able to rise:  they are fallen under my feet."(Psalm 18:37-38). GAME OVER!!!

DEVOTION: "And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm."(Mark 4:39)

"And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm."(Mark 4:39)

"Peace, Be Still"  In this passage of scripture, Jesus and the Disciples, found themselves in a "great storm" but Jesus was sleeping like a baby!!
"And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full."(Mark 4:37). The word "storm" in the Greek means a whirlwind.  The storm was so powerful that the waves "beat into" the ship. Do you feel like you have been beat by a storm to the point that it's gotten inside of you? What I mean is, are you anxious, frustrated, upset, staying awake at night or emotionally disturbed? The storms of life are real, as real as a hurricane or typhoon, the whirlwinds that batter our coastal areas and islands. They certainly cause us to be anxious or concerned about our welfare and personal belongings. Some storms can be seen from a distance and some just pop up without warning. We can see hurricanes and typhoons coming but tornadoes just hit hard, without warning!  Are you in the midst of a life storm that is beating you to pieces and you, like the disciples, are wondering why Jesus is not stopping the destruction? The ship was "full", it had taken on all the water it could structurally handle and was in danger of structural failure. It was about to sink or at least they thought it was based on their knowledge of the sea. We often make assumptions based on our personal experiences or data that has been gathered on the path of life. We shouldn't base our future on the circumstances we've been through or information we've gathered from life. I know we all need to learn as we go and a wise man does but we should never allow ourselves to be so intelligent that we overlook the possibility of a miracle.  Our faith, like the disciples, is sometimes hard to see but why did they so desperately try to wake Jesus?  Yes, Jesus rebuked them but they knew who to wake! He spoke to the storm, "Peace, Be Still", so regardless of how you feel about yourself or circumstances, SPEAK TO THE STORM!!! We are created in the image of God, so SPEAK, as He did to create the universe. Stand up straight, open your mouth and speak to the storm. PEACE, BE STILL and the calm will come.

DEVOTION: "The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers:"(Nahum 1:3-4)

"The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.  He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry,  and drieth up all the rivers:"(Nahum 1:3-4)

"The Whirlwind'. All eyes and ears are glued to weather radars concerning tropical storm,Isaac, in the Gulf of Mexico. Eyes and ears have been in the same alert mode for days concerning another storm on the other side of the world, a typhoon named Bolaven that hit Okinawa.  In one hemisphere they are called Typhoons and Hurricanes in another, either way they are powerful storms that interrupt our lives. They bring fear and anxiety to those in the path of these storms.  These are not the first storms that we will see nor will they be the last. Some people always ask WHY God sends these storms? He actually doesn't send them, God is blamed with lot of stuff He doesn't directly do. When God created the universe, He set certain natural laws into place that cause things to happen. Everything God created, creates! When the elements that God set in place upon creation of the universe line up in a certain order, things happen that keep our planet functioning in balance. I realize if you are planning your beach vacation and it rains all week, that's bad for you but it's necessary for life to continue on earth. I refer to them as the "Laws of Nature", we are aware of them and have enough technology to be aware of these "natural occurrences" and their dangers.  Prophetically, God set time up, as we know it, to only last so long. The Bible  is clear that these "natural occurrences" will intensify in the "last days". "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places."(Matthew 24:7) Please "Google" the history of systemic activity and you'll find a trend that will blow you away, it  is "off the chain", because we are getting closer to the Coming of Jesus Christ!!  "For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now."(Romans 8:22)  The earth is is winding down to journey's end for this phase or time frame that has been pre-set by God Himself.  Jesus will soon come to catch His people away, then the 7-year tribulation period will begin which will produce many unprecedented and overwhelming  natural disasters.  Your personal ship could weigh anchor and set sail into eternity at any moment, eternity has only two destinations.  God has allowed you to choose the destination at which you will spend eternity. I strongly suggest you make the right choice!!

DEVOTION: "But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold."(11 Samuel 5:17)

"But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold."(11 Samuel 5:17)

"Let them Come". The Anointing of God will bring an enemy with it to see if you really got it or not. Oh, satan's going to check your anointing for you to see if you know it's power. If you do not know its power, then how can you possiblely use it to bring Glory to God and Blessing to God's people.     "For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries."(1 Corinthians 16:9)  If you really think that you're not going to be tried and tested once you get God's Anointing, you are sadly mistaken. Satan only fights those that have the potential to crush his kingdom of darkness.  Are you anointed for God and by God? Do you have any faith that can be tried or is church just something on the "good list" that you do? If you have the Faith of God in your heart and the Anointing of God on you, our enemy is coming to see what you've got!    " because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."(1John 4:4b)   We must always remember the God is Greater than any enemy we could ever have at any time in our life.  "Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil."(Matthew 4:1) Let him come,  but he will drag away naked and empty handed-"Devil, You're not getting anything here!"   "And the God of peace shall bruise satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen."(Romans 16:20). Devil, you've lost, it's over and you have LOST!!     "And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?  And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded."(Acts 19:15-16)  You came but you couldn't stay, you had to go in the Name of Jesus!!  Deu 28:7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways."(Deuteronomy  28:7).  Tonight I go to bed with the Blood of my enemy on my sword!!!

VIDEO: Blessed are those that Believe

DEVOTION: "Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."(1 Peter 1:5)

"Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."(1 Peter 1:5)

"Kept". I'm glad God is holding me and not the other way around!!! Sure I know I am the "Temple of the Holy Ghost", but that's because He washed me in His blood and moved in by His choice!! He has my name written in His hand, written in His book and always on His mind.   "Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;"(Issiah 49:16)  I'm glad to know that my Heavenly Father has me graven in His hands but He also holds me in His hands at all times, no matter the circumstance. He gently holds me at all times under all circumstances carefully guiding my life down the path He has chosen and I have accepted.  "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand."(John 10:28-29)  The word "perish" in this passage means to lose or be destroyed, it just can't happen because I'm in His hands and He never sleeps nor slumbers!   According to Peter, He will hold me until the journey is finished in the Heavenly Kingdom. In that day I will have a body fashioned after the Son of God, glorified in His image. When that day comes I will walk the streets of gold and worship God through out eternity.    "For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."(Philippians 3:20-21) He not only keeps me, he subdues all things under His feet, He is God of all the universe!    "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen."(Jude 1:24-25)

DEVOTION: "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ ;"( 1 Peter 1:13)

"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ ;"( 1 Peter 1:13)

"Journeys End". If you are reading this, that means your journey is not over. I'm very aware that some of you probably wish it was time for the Father to have the trumpet sounded and Jesus to meet us in the clouds. If you have been in a battle of some kind, you’re tired and weary, praying for a breakthrough. Peter encourages us to gird up the loins of our minds and be sober. In other words, think right and biblical, let wisdom rule in your heart. He tells us to "HOPE" till the end! The word hope in this passage means to trust or expect God to fulfill every promise he has for you. Peter's reference to the "end", means the till Jesus catches us away. If you are still here, then our orders are to trust until we see Him face to face in the air. We are not at our journeys end as of yet so we must press on till the battle is over. There will not be a retreat sounded, the Bible doesn't have any such orders!! You may choose to stray from the path of righteousness and try to justify your behavior but that's on you, it won't work out very well. Some have tried to justify their fleshly behavior by lame excuses but it has never worked and it will not work today. Peter failed to be all that he was supposed to be at one point in his life but he wept bitterly over his sin, you will do the same. "And Peter remembered the words of Jesus, which said unto him, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly." (Matthew 26:75)  After the weeping, Peter wiped the tears from his eyes, realized he wasn't at "Journeys End", God used him in amazing way on the Day of Pentecost.  Therefore whatever you have done that has caused you to weep doesn't have to be your end but can turn into a new beginning, if handled with integrity. It's not over, so get up, "hope till the end" and let's continue the faith walk till "Journeys End".

VIDEO: A Violent Shift

DEVOTION: For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor." Ecclesiastes 4:14

"For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor."(Ecclesiastes 4:14)

"Silver Spoons" Life is kind of funny in that, one moment you have it by the tail and then one day it gets you by the tail. If you are born with a "silver spoon" in your mouth, you don't appreciate what you have or who you are. If that's the case, your silver spoon will tarnish and become empty.  Solomon says the one that comes out of prison will reign! The word "prison" in this text means, a hardness, a yoke or a battle of some kind, yes you will win and you will reign. If we stay true to the word, live by faith, conduct ourselves with integrity and character, we shall come out on top. "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."(Romans 8:37)  It's not over until God says it’s over and it is not over!!! Just keep believing, trusting, reading and declaring the Word of God over your prison and the shackles will have to fall off!!! "He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them."(1 Samuel 2:8) There it is, just believe it until you see it, true faith believes then sees!! If you believe it say it, and then it will show up on your front porch at some point in the journey!!  Quit worrying about what someone else has or don't have, says or don't say. Just keep praying the Word of God over your prison, the bars will burst asunder and the walls will come tumbling down.  "And Hannah prayed,  and said,  My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies;  because I rejoice in thy salvation."(1 Samuel 2:1). Whatever prison you are trapped in will soon be a non-issue in your life. The fact that you weren't born with a "silver spoon" in your mouth won't be a factor because God is about to move in your life.  "Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord."(Matthew 9:28)

DEVOTION: "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,"(Ephesians 1:13)

"In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed,  ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,"(Ephesians 1:13)

"In whom ye also trusted"  "Whom" did you trust the day you got saved? Was it a certain kind of experience that you were seeking to please the religious group you were with?  Was it the Preacher that preached that day? Was it the Water Baptism with the correct words spoken by the "right" person at the "right" location?  Just exactly what happened the moment you met Jesus? Did you actually meet Jesus or did you just begin a journey of adapting to a lifestyle that was in the unwritten manual of the church group you were raised with from a child. Did you just go to a service with some friends and since they cried, you cried and called it salvation??? Salvation is when heaven and earth collide in the heart of man, when you put your trust into Jesus, not something or someone else but Jesus Christ Alone!!  "After you heard the word of Truth", did you hear truth or a compelling to perform in the church circus? Did you need Jesus or did you just need to feel accepted by the people present? Salvation is a spiritual experience that puts you in the family of God and the Holy Spirit comes to live in you forever. "Sealed" in the Greek means to "stamp for security and preservation", by the Holy Spirit of Promise!! "Promise" means a pledge of divine assurance, do you have that?  If you don't have that, I suggest you give your salvation experience a good looking over. You only get saved by Jesus not 1-800-CLEO or WWW.COM something.  "Look unto me, and be ye saved,  all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else."(Isaiah 45:22)  Just look to Jesus today, He is the Savior! "Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,"(2 Timothy 1:9)

DEVOTION: Luke 20:1-2

"And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,  And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority?"(Luke 20:1-2)

"Don't take it Personal"  Luke chapter 20 is a very powerful chapter about God's vineyard that we get to serve in, because He chose us. It starts off by the scribes and pharisees questioning the authority of Jesus. People always question what intimidates them, they usually criticize the intimidator and flee the scene. If you feel intimidated by someone,  it's probably because they have strengths that you don't have and you really don't like the weakness that you just saw about yourself!  Jesus was so cool in the way He intimidated the "Religious Bureau of Investigation", Jesus was the  Master of Authority and Compassion, all in one. They question Him and He answers their question with a question, blows them out of the water and they refuse to answer. Jesus then tells a story about this religious group to the group of people in the temple as if they are not even listening, but the scribes are obviously standing outside listening to every word He speaks. The story is about a business owner that has a field and appoints a servant to work the crop. The problem is, over a period of time, the servant thinks that the field is his because he gets attached to it as if he owns the whole thing. We are just servants in the field, the kingdom gifts that we work with are not ours, they belong to God.  When you become so attached to your church pew that you think it's yours, you've lost sight of the reason you came in the first place. I know the pew has your grandmother's name on the end of it, because she bought it, help us God to get over ourselves!!
The land owner (God) sends servants, three in all, over a period of time to check the crop but the field foreman beats them up and runs them off. The owner then sends His son and they just flat out kill Him!! In verse 17, Jesus says, that the rejected stone will become the corner stone or the foundation.
The last shall be first, the tail shall be the head, the lowly shall be brought up high, so don't get too attached to what you have in your hands because He can change your position at any moment. If you are not mature enough to know that you're on a journey, then when you loose your church toy, you're bound to have your feelings hurt due to your misconception of how the Kingdom works!!
"Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder."(Luke 20:18) "Don't take it Personal!"

DEVOTION: "And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man.(Genesis 2:22)

"man and women" Today Ms. Kari and I have been married 31 years. We got married in the church where I was raised. It is a classic, typical, American country church. Our wedding was on August 15th on a Saturday at 3:00 pm. In Mississippi, USA in August, it's hot and the humility is off the charts!! About 15 minutes prior to the wedding the electricity went off, the sun was beaming down and not a cloud in the sky. The windows had been permanently closed and A/C had been installed which had the church barely comfortable on this very hot Saturday afternoon. Then the electricity went off, by wedding time, the flowers were wilting, candles beginning to fold over and we were sweltering. My dad, Brother Lavon Boatner, performed the ceremony and we had a great but hot wedding. Please keep reading, its gets better! We get in our car, a mustang that was barely a year old, wouldn't crank. At this point we have no choice but to go on our honeymoon in my 15 year old brother's hunting/fishing truck. (Thx Brother!) It was as you might imagine what a 15 year old's hunting/fishing truck would look like, the doors wouldn't lock, camper shell on the back! Oh, did I say red-we don't care-neck!! So here we go down the highway, happy as could be, we stopped at Howard Johnson's in Hattiesburg, Ms-USA to spend our first night of wedded bliss.

The next morning I woke up by the side of my gorgeous bride and realized that I was married, with a responsibility that I could never have imagined. I'm not sure all the reasons but the knowledge of this new responsibility seemed to give me an adrenalin rush. Out of the 31 years I've not always been able to give her all the things she deserves for following me around all these years. (God Bless Her!) There have been years when I could give her more than I ever thought possible, all Glory to God!! Everything God created in the Garden creates or produces something. We have two wonderful sons, they have been blessed with awesome wives and have given us three precious grandsons! I love you Kari M. Boatner. Thank You for saying yes.

DEVOTION: "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;"(Ephesians 1:7)

"In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;"(Ephesians 1:7)

"riches of His grace"  We are redeemed from the curse by the Blood of Jesus Christ!!  The word "redeemed" in this passage means "to ransom in full", complete purchase. I'm comforted to know that when Jesus saved me, He saved me completely, it was not a re-model job or a "turn over a new leaf" religious drama moment.   "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written,  Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."(Galations 3:13-14) The salvation experience freely gives us the forgiveness
of our sins by the riches of His Grace. The Blood that Jesus shed on the Cross bridged the gap between me and God. I now have access to the throne of God through Jesus Christ for the peace, power, provision and protection I need on a daily basis!! Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."(Hebrews 4:16) Jesus fixed it so that I can boldly come before the throne of God by His blood and in His Name.    "But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ."(Ephesians 2:13)
I'm very close to Him by His blood, I feel His presence at this moment, I am the Temple of the Holy Ghost-The Dwelling place of the Almighty God.   "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?"(11 Corinthians 3:16)  The "Riches of His Grace" are in abundance for His children, the whole world for that matter, when we receive them by faith. So whatever you are walking through today, if you know Jesus, you are not alone. He lives in us, He is in our midst at all times, there for us to lean on, to trust in and to know that He will always be there!! Just stop what you are doing, be still and you will feel His presence right now!!!

DEVOTION: "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force."(Matthew 11:12)

"And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force."(Matthew 11:12)

"suffereth violence". This is a violent shift in the heavens, a war that marks the closing of John's era of ministry and the beginning of the ministry for Jesus Christ earthly ministry that is still active in the earth today!! As a Man of God, I feel very strongly that God has spoken to me that things as we know them are about to change. The things I refer to are spiritual in nature but will manifest in the natural world. Those of you that are "walking in the Spirit", know exactly what I'm talking about, maybe not the details but you feel it coming. God always reveals things to His prophets before they are done in the earth. Prophets being defined as those that speak to the world for God.
"Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."(Amos 3:7). I feel a shaking going on in the Spirit world, it will manifest itself soon!!   My word to you as a Prophet, " Fine tune your Spirit to be able to hear the faintest whisper from God"!!
"And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice."(1 Kings 19:12) Don't ever put  yourself in a position that will hinder you from hearing His voice, find a preacher that hears  from God and stick close by, because God may speak at any time!!    "And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do;"(1 Chronicles 12:32) Someone obviously needs to know what's going on in the world and it's very obvious that our political leaders don't have a clue. The bottom line is, we need to hear from God, His biblical way of speaking to His people is through His men. Time started with God talking directly to His man, Adam, the patriarch of the first family. Time will end with God speaking to the Patriarchs and Matriarchs of the family of God!  The Spiritual Shaking has begun!!!

DEVOTION: They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Psalm 126:5

"They that sow in tears shall reap in joy."(Psalm 126:5)

"Tears". Have you cried lately? Why did you shed those tears? Was it because you were in pain? Was it because someone had broken your heart or a friend had hurt you in some way? Are you crying because you are facing financial struggles that are piled up so high that you can't even see over them? Are you burdened for someone that you love dearly and you weep as you watch them destroy their life? Did you know that God has your tears in a bottle? Yes, He cares very much about you and your troubles!    "Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?"(Psalm 56:8)
God does care about everything in your life that troubles your soul, that causes you physical pain or distresses you spiritually.  "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."(1 Peter 5:7). Whatever is troubling you at this moment, cast it on the Lord Jesus. He is the only one that can bear our burdens and wipe away our tears. We live on a troubled planet, filled with pain and sorrow but we still serve an awesome God!! He can fix whatever it is in our lives that needs fixing, nothing is impossible with our God.    " Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will..... "(Isaiah 38:5)   The verse that we are discussing doesn't just mention tears but it also gives us hope, it says that we will reap in joy!! Thank You, Lord, for the promise of reaping a harvest of good fruit, blessings from above!! I say it's time to stop crying and start believing God for a great manifestation of His goodness.   "Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again....."(Jeremiah 31:16-17). It's harvest time, the latter rain that the Prophet Joel spoke of and that the Apostle Peter preached about on the Day of Pentecost is here.
Oh, Father, Wipe away our tears, let us see the harvest, the plans, the power of your Glory in our lives and churches today. God, we have wept, so now let us reap!!!   "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted."(Matthew 5:4)

DEVOTION: "The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad."(Psalm 126:3)

"The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad."(Psalm 126:3)

"We are Glad" The blessings of God make us glad!! Truly the Lord has done great things for all of us, the many ways He has blessed us are countless.
Is there anyone that doesn't want God to bless them, I say no!!  Is everyone thankful for their Blessing's? Probably not, we often take so many of our blessings for granted. I think we in America are so accustomed to the Blessings and Goodness of God that we often take them for granted. I personally, would like to train my spirit to be more conscious of God's blessings that I just take for granted every day. I would like to develop an attitude of gratitude that is constant not just when I experience an unusual blessing. The Bible says that the "joy of the of the Lord is our strength". (Nehemiah 8:10)  The conclusion I've arrived at after reading these two verses is that if I'm aware of God's Blessings and I'm joyous over His blessing then I'm strong. As a Preacher of  30 years I'm concerned about the church at large growing weak from its many trials.  I'm also concerned that we've taken our blessings for granted, not intentionally, but have just slowly gotten used to them.   We need to consciously be aware of how much God has blessed us and be thankful on purpose. In order to retain the joy of the Lord in our lives we must be aware of all the good things He has done for us. When we become aware on a regular basis, we will experience His joy on a regular basis and the joy of the Lord will bring us strength. I don't know about you but I could use all the joy and strength from God I can get,  24/7.  "The Lord has done great things for us", this is a fact that we need to be very aware of each and every  day, regardless of what kind of day we are experiencing. God is good, His goodness brings us joy and His joy is our strength.  Let's just connect the dots from God doing great things for us all the way to His strength in our daily lives. God has been good to us so let's be thankful and He will make us strong!!

DEVOTION: "Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit."(Ecclesiastes 4:6)

"Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit."(Ecclesiastes 4:6)

"Better".   Life is filled with choices, every day we make choices, even when we do nothing we just made a choice. Life happens everyday, whether you want it to or not, it happens. It's up to you to participate in such a way that you get the most out of life, the best it has to offer. If you read the Bible you will find endless verses that inform us that our decisions have a direct effect on our every day life and our future. This verse written by Solomon is very true, some THINGS have too big a price tag with them. You cannot put a price on peace, joy and happiness. If you think the material things of this world will bring you complete fulfillment, you are wrong. The material things in life may make life easier but if they bring more heartache with them than you had before you acquired them, were they really worth it? We must do everything in our power to keep our lives balanced between the blessings that God has bestowed upon us and the overwhelming needs of this earth. God, in fact, wants us blessed but He doesn't want us to live in "travail and vexation" but in love, joy and peace.  Solomon is wanting us to examine all things before we embrace them because they may bring trouble with them, if they do, they are not God's Blessing.  It could come in the form of relationships, material things, etc...We must filter everything that flows into our lives for our greater good.  "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."(James 1:17). If you allow the blessings of God to enable you to participate in a life style that's not pleasing to God, the blessings will be short- lived because He will not fund your foolishness. God wants us spiritually mature before we are so blessed that we are not blinded by our blessings.  "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health,  even as thy soul prospereth."(1John 1:2) Ask God to mature your spirit man and your outer man will take care of himself, untill then you'll continue to struggle to find peace.

DEVOTION: "For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."(Matthew 12:50)

"For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."(Matthew 12:50)

"my brother and sister and mother"  Family is very important to Jesus and it should be important to you. If you live long enough you will need someone other than yourself.   "Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.  For if they fall,  the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth;  for he hath not another to help him up."(Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)  The fact of the matter is, you can't handle life alone. If you continue to do things that jeopardize your relationships with the people that love you, you will find yourself in a very lonely embarrassing place. As a Pastor/Preacher, I know a lot of lonely people and the main reason they are lonely is because they refuse to put forth any effort to develop relationships. Relationships are not always easy but they ARE a must if you are going to have a fulfilled life!  I must warn you that not all relationships are healthy for you so you must give some of them to God and walk away.  I know you are helping them change for the better but from where I'm sitting I see them changing you for the worse, actually you use them as your excuse to feed your flesh.  The very best place to find friends and develop relationships is God's House on Sunday, Wednesday or other events that are going on at church. I know, you don't want to go to church because of all the hypocrisy that you see in the people,  so you had rather go to a bar because people that go to bars are usually just bubbling over with character and integrity.  There are more benefits to going to church than just hearing a sermon and song, you meet people that are there for you when you have trials, when you have need of prayer, when your family members pass away you have a support group. If you're  single, you just might meet your mate for life at the right place instead of at a night club. I'm constantly counseling people that have heartbreaking relationship issues. My first question is always, "Where did y'all meet?", the answer to that question always tells me what I need to know. I have a lot of family and friends, there is no way the Boatner's could make it without them.  We love each and every one of you!!  Thanks for who you are and all that you do!

DEVOTION: "And when the tempter came to him, he said, if thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread."(Matthew 4:3)

"And when the tempter came to him, he said, if thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread."(Matthew 4:3)

"The tempter came" The evil on earth is due to a person called "Satan", the devil himself. He started a war against God years ago and will ultimately be cast into the lake of fire.   "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."(Revelation 20:10). Until then we are tempted, attacked and terrorized by our enemy.  If you are a warrior in God's army, you know how to fight because you read the word, pray and attend your church on a regular basis. If you are Christian with a spectator mentality, then you will eventually, without a doubt, fall to Satan’s temptations. If you seldom read your Bible, attend church half-heartily and pray only when you need God to fix one of your stress-messes, you will fall into one of his traps. The fallout from a "Christian" falling into one of Satan’s temptations is far reaching and confuses those that see you in this situation. It's especially confusing to children that see you at church on Sunday and see you act a completely different way at other social events. Children are very trusting but they are very smart and they ask questions-I just tell them the truth about the individual, no excuses, no sugar coating, I just lay it out in their own words so they understand that a relationship with Jesus in the most important thing they will ever have and the all the people at church are not always sincere.
If you are a person that falls into the traps that Satan sets for you very easily, then stay away from those places. I suggest that you do whatever it takes to keep your life pure and holy because not only is the general public looking but your children will do what you do. Is that what you really want? Do you really want your children to be as weak as you are? "The tempter came" and he is still here. Don't ruin your tomorrow by being weak today!!

VIDEO: Jesus Knows the Truth

DEVOTION: "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another."(Galatians 5:13)

"For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another."(Galatians 5:13)

"occasion to the flesh". We are saved by God's Grace, made righteous by Christ and forgiven of our sins by the Blood that Jesus shed on the CROSS!!
Some think that our sinful activities makes us sinners but the truth is we are sinners by nature. Our earth parents, Adam and Eve, plunged us into the depravity of sin. So by nature we ARE sinners and by choice we commit sinful activities that release the consequences of sin.   "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."(Romans 5:8). Please notice that Paul refers to us as "sinners" not just sinful. Since we are sinners by nature we have the freedom of sinning anytime we choose. The thing about choices is that you will live with the results of those choices, good or bad!!    "Be not deceived;  God is not mocked:  for whatsoever a man soweth,  that shall he also reap."(Galatians 6:7) YOU SOW IT, YOU GROW IT!!!!  Unfortunately some people misunderstand the Grace of God and think since they are saved by Grace that they can just sin all they want, well I guess you can but I would strongly advise you not because it won't work out very well in the end.  Paul says in the verse for today that we are free but not free to sin. One thing is for certain about human nature, it will always do something stupid unless you by choice as an act of your will stop yourself from doing stupid!!  Your flesh will self-destruct unless you allow God's Spirit to take control of your life. I'm appalled at the behavior of people that "say" they love Jesus, Church and Family but cater to their flesh when they get the very first opportunity. It's sad that people are so self-centered that they don't care about their children's future destruction by their so called "fun" at the moment.  If Jesus doesn't come back tonight, there will be a tomorrow and you will weep over the consequences of your actions today if they are not Godly actions.  As a minister of the Gospel, I'm saddened by the weakness I see in the so called "Christian Community", we can make a difference but we have to stand up and say no to our foolish flesh, because it has successfully made a fool out of you.

DEVOTION: "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me."(Galatians 2:20)

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live;  yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me."(Galatians 2:20)

"I am crucified with Christ" To say that you are crucified with Christ is to say that your flesh is dead to the passions of this world, that's a mouthful. Paul makes this statement by the Grace of God and then says that He lives by the Faith of the Son of God. How do you live? Are you crucified with Christ? What controls your life, the Spirit of God or your fleshly desires? "He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down,  and without walls."(Proverbs 25:28)  A city without walls in Old Testament times meant that it had no protection from the enemy!! Are you living a disciplined life that gives you protection from the enemy? Are you aware that a life without any disciplines in it, is a life that will eventually fall all to pieces? Do you have the Spirit of God in you or have you just adapted to some religious rules you picked up at church. Are you growing in the knowledge and grace of Christ or is it just a show that you play a part in on Sunday mornings? Now, I ask the question again, "Are you crucified with Christ?"  What controls your life and destiny-flesh or Spirit?
"But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection:  lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway."(1 Corinthians 9:27)  The word "castaway" means to be fruitless or not fulfilling your intended purpose.  As Paul says in this passage that" Christ lives in me", if He does, then you need to make your life count for God's glory. Jesus gave Himself for me, He died on a cross to give me the peace and forgiveness that I have and that alone should motivate me to serve Him wholeheartedly. Have you nailed your flesh to the cross or is your flesh putting nails in your coffin, one bad choice at a time?
