Favor!!!

Don't forget to close the backdoor!!
At midnight tonight the curtains of time will open on a new year, 2016!! The Year of our Lord, 2015, will come to a close!!!
Whatever we are thankful for will continue to grow in the Favor of God as we step into the new year. However, we must make a conscious choice to leave all the pain, disappointment, discouragement, failures, etc.... behind us or it will become baggage that will weigh us down. Please don't leave the door to your past open so that it can continue to bring fear and chaos into your life. I must confess that this Word is a Word from God to my Spirit, a challenge to not allow the hardships of 15 to become my identity. My wife and I returned from a trip to Las Vegas mid December 2014, both my knees were swollen to the point that I could no longer walk. I had surgery on my left knee in January and surgery on my right knee in August. I've spent most of this year on crutches or in bed and preaching while sitting on a stool. I'm choosing by God's Grace to close the door behind me because Jesus is my Healer and my Hope!! I refuse to allow 2015 to prematurely define 2016!!! It's a new year and God is going to "Restore the Years"!!! Give God thanks for the good and it will follow you into the new year, close the back door on all the hurt that is behind you before it becomes a part of who you are tomorrow. If you can't fix it, take a deep breath, give it to God and walk into 2016 with your head held high looking to the "Hills from whence cometh your help!! (Psalm 121:1)
"Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And the floors shall be FULL of wheat, and the fats shall OVERFLOW with wine and oil. And I will RESTORE TO YOU THE YEARS that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you."
Joel 2:23-25 KJV
Rejoice in the Lord, expect the overflow, restoration and outpouring of God's Spirit in 2016!!!!
