DEVOTION: "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."(Matthew 16:19)

"And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."(Matthew 16:19)

"I will give". In many places in the scripture God says He will give us something. In this passage, the gift is the "Keys" to the kingdom of heaven. The word kingdom means a domain, in this context, a spiritual domain that is ruled by God.  When you have the key to something, you have the right of entry. Once we enter the kingdom and are functioning with kingdom authority, we become a very powerful spiritual force that has an effect on things in the earth. Jesus says that we now have the power to bind things and loose things. When we bind something, we have stopped it from functioning. The word bind means to tie it up or shut it down.  The word loose means to untie, to let go, or to release.  In this verse Jesus gives us the power to stop the powers of darkness and the power to release the blessings of God.  I now receive this gift from Jesus and in the Name of Jesus, by Faith, I bind the powers of satan and the kingdom of darkness!! I release the power of God to remove every burden from my life and destroy every yoke that is on me. I live in the world but I am not of this world because I am in the spiritual domain of God with the spiritual authority of Jesus Christ to bind down what needs binding and loose what needs releasing.
"And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing."(Isaiah 10:27)  The burdens of this world system are taken away and the yokes are destroyed by the "Anointing", the touch of Jesus that we have once we understand Kingdom Authority!!  According to Jesus we must speak this authority into action by simply speaking the Word of God.   "The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.  For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it."(Matthew 8:8-9)
Please accept this gift of authority from Jesus today and speak the word that will change your world.

Letter From India Pastor

Here is another update from our Lead Pastor in India: He references a van and two motorcycles only because, when I was there preaching, I promised I wouldn't stop praying until God had provided 12,000 dollars to purchase these much needed w
ays of transportation. They have never asked me for anything but come to India to preach, ordain the pastors, help organize the churches and be their ministry director. They do not care for their own safety, shelter or supplies, only about reaching the 1.2 billion people in their country for Jesus. They walk or ride bicycles to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. The attached picture is one of the many homeless, helpless and hungry children.

DEVOTION: "Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour;"(Romans 13:7)

"Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour;"(Romans 13:7)

"HONOUR". Today is September 11th, the 11th anniversary of one of the most tragic days in American history!!  Today 11 years ago we were attacked by terrorists within our own borders; it was a dark day for the United States of America. I cannot imagine how someone can hate another person so much that they are willing to give their life to needlessly murder someone they have never even seen or known!! The shock and fear that flooded our nation that day was unprecedented in my lifetime.  The pain and loss experienced by the loved ones of those that lost their lives that day is an ongoing memory, a loss that will never be filled.  Today we remember our fellow Americans and we HONOR them as our Hero's.  To those of you that lost loved ones that day, we pray for you and we are very grieved that you lost your fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, husbands, wives and other family members in such a horrific manner.  We are "One Nation Under God" and "Blessed to a Thousand Generations".   "Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;"(Deuteronomy 7:9).  We, the American People will not be terrorized by hatred or fear tactics but we will stand shoulder to shoulder as we have always done. In the time of need we rise to the occasion of the moment and regardless of the hopelessness that is being spread by some within our government, we will always be GREAT!! We were founded upon a set of Godly principals that were taken from the Bible, so we will prevail, we always do. We HONOR all of our men and women that have given their lives to make this country what it is today, we weep with your families and we pray that God will put a hedge of protection around our country. MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

DEVOTION: "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."(Acts 1:8)

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."(Acts 1:8)

"Witnesses". When Luke wrote the book of "Acts", he set the stage for the book with this verse. This wonderful book, given to us by the Holy Spirit, gives us a first hand look at the ministries of the men and women of God at that time. The word witness is a very strong word.  It refers to those of us that desire to see the world come to know Jesus. It refers to someone that tells a friend about Jesus in the check-out line at the department store in your hometown, as well as someone that dies the death of a martyr for the cause of Christ. The Greek word for witness in this verse IS martyr.  "He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it."(Matthew 10:39)
I know that it's shocking but every hour of every day 20 people are killed because they believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of Jehovah God!!  I have personally preached, in public, to thousands of people in areas that kill Christians. It's amazing to see people that hungry for God in spite of the risk that it will expose them to, yet they still come to hear the Word of God.  You do not have to visit such places to be a witness for Jesus, not everyone is called to do so.  I would strongly advise you not to go to these areas unless you know God has told you to go!!  You can be a witness at work, on vacation, while grocery shopping and in every place your daily routine takes you. Every minute of every day, 267 babies are born and 108 people die, so we are growing at a rate of 159 people per minute. We have exceeded 7 billion and they need to hear the gospel of the Jesus Christ and His Kingdom!!!  The key to being a successful witness is found in the verse that we are writing about today, "But ye shall receive Power". The Power that Luke refers to in Acts 1:8 comes from the Holy Ghost coming upon you!! You may say, "Bro Scott, How do I get the Holy Ghost to "come upon" me?  As always the Bible answers our questions, "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled."(Matthew 5:6)   Please become empowered by the Holy Ghost, go forth and be a witness for Jesus, the world needs your light!!

DEVOTION: "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."(Matthew 26:41)

"Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."(Matthew 26:41)

"Watch and Pray"  Dear Heavenly Father, We enter into Your presence today in the Name of Jesus!  We know that You hear us because we come in faith, believing that You do and will answer every prayer according to Your will. Your word is Your will and it is filled with  promises of blessings for us to walk in as we walk with You everyday.    "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask,  we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."(1 John 5:14-15). Here we are, Lord, weak in the flesh but hopeful in our spirits!!  We are created in Your image and You are a Spirit but we have fleshly bodies that drag us down from time to time. Paul instructed us to crucify ourselves daily so that we may live in Spirit. We come today asking for help to overcome every enemy that is trying to destroy us and trying to stop us from fulfilling Your perfect will for our lives.   "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions."(Psalm 107:20)  Thank You Jesus for the power of the hope that we get from praying Your word!! We believe it, speak it and receive every promise it has for us at this moment in our lives. We are flesh but we are filled with the Spirit and armed with the word so we will continue to move forward by Your strength.   "  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."(Philippians  4:13)
By God's strength, we shall arise above every challenge, face every problem today and win every battle in the Name of Jesus, Amen!

VIDEO: Face to Face with the Devil

DEVOTION: "Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went."(John 6:21)

"Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went."(John 6:21)

"Willingly Received Him". The disciples found themselves in a storm at sea and it was horrific!! I have been in some severe weather at sea and believe me, it is not fun! I've been caught in several storms on inland waterways, camping in tents on vacations and most recently on my Harley Davidson!!  It doesn't matter if you are one of those that doesn't have a great deal of fear in your mind of bad weather, it can get so bad that even the strong start falling by the wayside.  It was very dark but they could see someone walking toward them on the waves, in the midst of the strong winds and they were afraid!! Fear consumed them, as it plagued Job many years ago.  "For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me."(Job 3:25). Fear opens our heart for negative things to come flooding in and our faith to go pouring out!  They were looking straight at Jesus and were afraid because they didn't even recognize Him.  As a Preacher, I observe people running from the work and voice of God in their lives because they are afraid of the "Voice that Thunders". His voice does shake our worlds but it can also shake the storms out of your life. If the raw, uncut voice of power scares you and you run from it to a calmer place in life, I've got a surprise for you, that power that scares you, you'll need it to stand against this storm. Do you want to face it alone? I don't, so I'm willingly inviting him into my boat, I want to hear Him say "Peace, Be Still".    "And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder:"(Revelation 14:2) The voice of God scared Moses' church, so they came up with the brilliant idea to tell Moses that they didn't want to hear His voice anymore. BAD PLAN!!! They never heard His voice again.   "And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed,  and stood afar off.  And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear:  but let not God speak with us, lest we die."(Exodus 20:18-19).   Please don't drown in the storms of life without ever hearing Jesus say, "It is I; be not afraid."(John 6:20)

VIDEO: He that Hath

DEVOTION: "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."(Philippians 3:14)

"I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."(Philippians 3:14)

"Pressing on"   At times in our lives we are faced with adverse winds.  Sometimes the Wind of the Spirit just seems to carry us along with ease and very little effort on our part. Don't you wish it was that way all the time?  I would definitely enjoy just flowing along in the river of the Spirit without very little effort on my part. In this verse Paul says that he is going to press on for the prize!!  The word press means exactly what you think it means, to push forward. Sometime if you are going to make any progress, you're going to have to press on through whatever circumstances that you have found yourself in.
"But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me."(Matthew 14:30)  The winds of adversity can be so strong and blow so long that you think you are not going to make it . Some do give up hope of ever breaking through the darkness.  At the breaking point of  life  itself, we now know who has brought us this far and if we make it out of this trial alive, we know Jesus will be the reason. The storms can come one right after another for so long that you can lose hope. We must press on, by God's grace, we must press on through the night.  I know, you feel all alone, you think  no one knows what you are going through and that's probably true even though all of your friends say, "It's going to be fine" but they really don't understand what's going on in your life.  When Jesus was in the Garden praying, sweating drops of blood, his disciples were a few feet away, asleep.
The garden where Jesus sweat drops of blood is called Gethsemane, which means wine or oil press.  He was pressed above measure while His followers slept. You can be bleeding while your friends are a few feet away, asleep.
In these times we have no choice but to lean on Jesus and trust Him to help us press on to the prize before us!! "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."(1Peter 5:7) Jesus cares more than we can ever imagine!

DEVOTION: "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."(Matthew 6:21)

"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."(Matthew 6:21)

"Treasure" What do you value? What really matters to you at the end of each day? The word "treasure" in the Greek means deposit, wealth or value. We all have a set of values that govern our lives. Your lifestyle is based on your value system so what you treasure dictates your lifestyle. Noah valued the voice of God and

the safety of his family so he built an Ark. In the Kingdom of God, everything is contingent on something else. For example, your harvest is based on the amount, location and type seed you sow. What you value, whatever it is, that will set the true standard of your life. Some people buy a camper because their neighbor has one, but if you don't like to camp, it's going to be a lot of work for you to not enjoy. Life would be so much better for you if you would have your own set of values, rather than your neighbor's. Learn to be yourself, but I must warn you, your neighbor would probably prefer you be controlled by his or her values because some of people's friends wouldn't be their friends if they didn't control them. You can be influenced by others to the point that you don't have a life of your own because you live your life by someone else's values. In the family of God, we are one but we are many!! "For the body is not one member, but many."(1 Corinthians 12:14) Each member of the body of Christ has a different function. In order to function in your place, you have to value THAT place or you won't respect it so it's not in your heart. If you treasure something, it's in your heart and if it's in your heart, you will fight for it to the death. For us to be happy we must have our own set of values based on what we have allowed God to place in our hearts. Please open your heart today and let God fill it with treasure.

DEVOTION: "Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have."(Luke 8:18)

"Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have."(Luke 8:18)

"Whosoever hath not".   In this verse there are two different groups of people represented, those that have and those that have not!! Jesus says that if you
have,  then you will be given more but if you don't have, what you don't have will be taken away. If you will look closely at the verse you'll see the words "seemeth to have", because we assume people have a good heart because they look good on the outside. We make the mistake of thinking that just because someone has something in their hands that it's in their hearts to use it for God if they attend church.  Jesus makes it very clear that He knows the difference between service with heart and service without heart. If God has blessed your hands with talents to use for Him but you don't have the passion to do so, you will have it taken away.  You will look down one day and what you once had will be gone because you never had the passion in your heart to use it for the Kingdom.   "Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.  For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath."(Matthew 25:18-29). You will look up one day and what you once did for the advancement of the Kingdom of God, someone else will be doing, because you didn't appreciate what you had!!  Those of you that have your hands to the plow and you have plowing in your heart, to you more will be given in abundance.  The God of the harvest will make sure you are blessed by the harvest when the crop comes in and it WILL come, just keep plowing!!
