"The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." (Exodus 14:14)

"The Lord shall fight for You." I'm very relieved to know this truth at this moment in my life. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I've been up for over 24 hours and I'm tired, so I'm glad to know that God has got me covered. I have pushed my body beyond its created limits for many years until about 18 months ago when it said, "This is as far as I can go on 2 hours of sleep a day." Our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit and we need to take care of them, because they will shut down. On my 50th birthday I spent 12 days in bed due to exhaustion but my spirit was as clear as a the morning sun. During this time, while lying flat on my back, God spoke to me about training my body to sleep again. I had the best of medical care from the greatest doctor in the world but my mind was so used to going pretty much 24/7 that I had to deliberately tell myself to go to bed and stay asleep for a full night’s rest. Now, after 18 months of this training, I really don't enjoy it when I have no choice but to keep going until I've reached my destination. Other than my trip to India, a few emergency situations, and today, the power of God's Spirit has trained my body to sleep again. It's really cool to actually sleep all night long, but the coolest thing is to know that God is taking care of you while you are at rest. The verse for today says that He will fight for me and that I can hold my peace. WOW - I can rest while He deals with all the stress-mess on the planet!! I'm going to do exactly as the Lord says in this verse; sit back, say nothing, and enjoy watching Him stop all the arrows the enemy is shooting at me right now. I've been practicing this new concept for only a few minutes, just quietly watching myself and others. It's amazing to see satan shoot an arrow at someone, miss, and then they pick it up and stick themselves. I'm utterly amazed at the people in this world that create battles for themselves on a daily basis and then think I can wave a magic preacher wand to make it all better. NOT! Yep, I think I'm just gonna sit back, watch, and see just how God handles all of my affairs and the affairs of others. FYI - We have enough battles, just by planet earth default, much less creating more on our own!! Quietly seated, watching and believing!!

 "Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses"(Exodus 1:11)


"taskmasters to afflict"  The sole purpose of the taskmasters was to afflict the people of God! The devil's sole purpose is to afflict you if you are in God's Kingdom. The reason they started to afflict the Israelites is because they begin to be so blessed that the Egyptians were afraid of their greatness. Do you know why Joseph's brothers disliked him? They weren't afraid that his dreams wouldn't come true but they were afraid that his dreams would come true. The people that watch you every day aren't afraid you'll fail, they are afraid you'll succeed. Your failure makes them feel good about themselves because human nature is dependable to repeat history over and over again.
What the taskmasters of the system did to the successful then, they will do to you today. The enemy wants you to fail, he doesn't want you to be successful, increase and multiply.   "And the children of Israel were fruitful,  and increased abundantly,  and multiplied,  and waxed exceeding mighty;  and the land was filled with them."(Exodus 1:7)   Do not let the taskmasters of this world afflict you, mess with your head and deposit fear into your heart. Fear will rob you of your destiny, your future and all the blessings that God has for you.  "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."(John 10:10)
Jesus came to save and bless you, don't let the world, the neighbors or the desires of the flesh steal your blessing!!   " For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,  that He might destroy the works of the devil."(1 John 3:8b)
God has plans for His people, He has a plan and purpose for your life, don't let the devil talk you into something that will talk you out of your future!!

DEVOTION: "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people."(Proverbs 14:34)


"Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people."(Proverbs 14:34)

"Righteousness” There is much in the Bible about Righteousness. There are two kinds of righteousness taught in the scripture, one is eternal and the other is practical. Eternal Righteousness is gained by being born again by the Spirit, at which time you are washed in the Blood of Jesus, which grants you forgiveness of sin. David said that He washes us and we are white as snow. Eternal righteousness is a reference to our salvation that begins the day we meet Jesus Christ and it has no end because our Savior is eternal.  Practical Righteousness is something altogether different, it has to do with your daily lifestyle, the choices you make each day. It's basically very simple, will you choose right or wrong? There is a line drawn in the sand, there is a right and a wrong. Sin still exists and if you choose to commit sin, you will reap the harvest of the sins you commit because they are seeds sown in the earth. If you do not judge yourself, you will be judged.   "For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.” (1 Corinthians 11:31) The problems that our nation is facing today stem from each generation becoming more tolerant to a thing called SIN. Hebrews chapter 12 says that if you are one of God's children and you commit sin, you will be chastened, if there is no chastisement then you are not one of His children. Mom, Dad, if you want your children to do right in public, you must teach them to do right in the privacy of your home. Our nation is only as righteous as our churches, our churches are only as righteous as our homes, and righteousness starts at home!  The world system has desensitized us, little by little by the music we listen to, the movies we watch, the functions we attend, the books we read and churches being more about "who's who" than the Kingdom of God. We must not hide in a cave but shine as lights in a dark place. God's children need to lead the way of righteousness not cause others to stumble by our double standards!!    "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."(Matthew 5:16)

VIDEO: Suddenly

"Do we look for another” Jesus said of John the Baptist, “Verily I say unto you, among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist :"( Matthew 11:11a). We need to be aware that no matter how great we are in the power of Jesus that we are not immune to doubt and despondency. John the Baptist was in prison for preaching righteousness and died a martyr for the gospel of Jesus Christ. While he was in prison he sent two of his disciples to double check that Jesus was the one that he was to be looking for or another. The two went and talked to Jesus and  "Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and show John again those things which ye do hear and see:  The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them."(Matthew 11:4-5)  Sometime we can find ourselves in situations that will challenge our faith and shake us to our core. That's when we go to the Word of God and read until we have peace in our spirit. John was in prison, some of you reading this are in a prison of some kind. It doesn't have to have steel bars, it can be financial, emotional, religious, circumstantial or a whole host of other things that hold you captive. It could be a prison that evolved from a relationship that you can't get away from, the list of prisons is endless that humanity has built around them!! You may ask, Bro Scott, what's my first step? Do exactly what John the Baptist did, make sure you are following Jesus not some religious rule book or circus side show. I promise that Jesus will set you free from your prison. "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;   And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."(John 8:31-32) The word disciple means to follow Jesus after you get born again, call on Jesus, break out of your prison and continue your journey!

DEVOTION: "But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows, And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented."( Matthew 11:16-17)

"Would you like to Dance" The verses above were preceded by, He that hath ears, let him hear", that always means, this is urgent! Jesus is talking about John the Baptist and how great a prophet he was to the people. He speaks about this generation being like children at a resort. (market=public resort) Some music is played but they don't dance, something tragic happens but they don't respond with any emotion. A complacent, non-responsive generation that sits back and does nothing. A comparison is made between John and Jesus. John is conservative, hardcore but Jesus is more open minded and the children in the market don't like either of the two. We sit back, do nothing or we do just enough church work to make us feel comfortable on our pew when the preacher preaches about being dedicated to the "Good Lord". For those of you around the world that read this, the phrase "The Good Lord" is a casual way of referring to God in the USA, it's rather impersonal and very general. The reason we don't dance or mourn is we've become victims of the spirit of hopelessness that has invaded us. We've become non-emotional, complacent and out of balance when it comes to our relationship with Jesus Christ. We justify our sins in the American Church by doing God a favor on Sunday by attending church and participating if it's not to much trouble. What Jesus was saying is that this generation is non-responsive, out of balance and doesn't know the difference between righteousness and unrighteousness. My prayer-God, Play the music, I want to dance!!

VIDEO: Collateral Damage

"add to thee"   If we keep the commandments of God's Word with our hearts, it will have a tremendous effect on our lives. These verses refer to the time we spend here on earth and how much better they will be if we keep the commandments of God. If you study the definition of all three promises given here you'll find that it is a reference to the time and quality of our time on earth. I would certainly like to enjoy my stay here instead of endure it as most people do. It seems to be just a rat race of stress mess for most people. If we get in the word it will get in us and increase the quality of our life. The word "peace" means safe, well and happy. I don't know about you but I like the sound of safe, well and happy. To be protected from harm, healed of infirmities and happy on top of that, is the way to live!!  Most Christians are so filled with gloom, doom and hopelessness that they think that to be happy, healed and protected is sinful. You are automatically depressed and despondent by human nature which is what the devil wants for you but God wants us blessed. These two verses in proverbs are very clear about what God wants for your life here on earth. If this way of thinking is new for you, that's ok, change is not wrong.   "And be renewed in the spirit of your mind ;"( Ephesians 4:23) Growth and change are not wrong but rather it's normal. If your child didn't ever grow you'd think something was wrong and take your baby to the Dr. But if we change or grow in Christ, we've been taught that we are doing something wrong.  We must grow in grace to fulfill the will of God in our lives.   "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."(Romans 12:2) The renewing of our thinking will cause us to grow in Christ and know the will of God for our lives. If we get in the word it will add peace, quality and days to our lives. The world is filled with chaos, pain, depression, religious drama and no hope of it ever getting better.  The word "add" means to continue or increase. So I say pile it on, Jesus!! My plans are to "keep" the commandments and have Blessing's added to my days here on earth.  I have a copy of the Bible in my hands, scripture memorized in my mind and His promises hid in my heart so I say, "I AM BLESSED"!!! Join me today, confess with your mouth that you are blessed and let’s speak blessings on me another. God is about to ROCK our world!!!

"Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip."(2 Samuel 22:37)


"Enlarged"  The word "enlarged" means to make room for or to expand!  David says that God has made it possible for him to stand firmly in his place and purpose. David found himself in a lot of situations that required God to supernaturally keep his feet from slipping. God taught David how to do warfare and to always win. David didn't know what it meant to think like a loser, he thought like a winner.   "God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.  He maketh my feet like hinds' feet: and setteth me upon my high places.  He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms."(2 Samuel 22:33-35) David didn't know how to loose, he won even when people thought he was losing yet fled his throne to keep from killing his son,.  Some think he ran from Absalom because he was afraid. Do you really think David was afraid of anything, let alone a young man full of himself? David was a warrior but he was man enough NOT to kill his own son and let the general public think what they wished. He even let them throw stones at him as he left the palace and would not let his men stop them. (2 Samuel 16) David and his men could have wiped the stone throwers off the face of the earth. David knew how to play the cards to win and win every time. David also knew when to sit back and let the seed that people had sown come to harvest in their lives. If you do not always understand God's warriors, it would be best to leave them alone. Don't throw stones so quickly at people that you don't understand just because they are so passionate about their God purpose that they seem a little strange at times. Their strangeness is their normal and if you live long enough you just might need a warrior that doesn't back down, walk or run from anything known to man. The reason you may think the warriors of God are strange is because you haven't met your real enemy yet. When that enemy comes into your life, you will need a warrior. I'd find a warrior of God, develop a relationship and stay in touch.  When Saul told David that he couldn't take Goliath, David basically said, "I always win"! David understood the strength of God and how to use it to win every battle in his life.

DEVOTION: "Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins."(Psalm 25:18)

"Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins."(Psalm 25:18)

"My Pain". In this passage David references three things, his affliction, his pain and his sins. In the Hebrew, affliction means depression and misery, a God worshipper afflicted with depression and misery? Seriously? The next word pain means a toil the produces a wearing effect that is grievous to the body and mind. The third word is sins, you see we Christians think that if we have depression and pain, we've obviously committed some kind of terrible sins. We live on a sin cursed earth that's filled with darkness, depression and all kind of things that are unexplainable. I know someone told you that if you had enough faith you wouldn't have any troubles, trials or tribulation. The only thing wrong with that statement is that every character in the Bible had battles on every side. I know they had victories but they also had pain and misery during the warfare. The New Testament doesn't give us a suit of Spiritual Armour to put on every day because we have nothing better to do but rather we need it to be victorious each day. If we have a purpose and calling from God, we have an enemy, if God has opened a great door of ministry, we have an adversary. "For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries."(1 Corinthians 16:9) I, Scott L. Boatner, have an enemy that is trying to shut me down because I refuse to stop preaching the Gospel of Grace and Hope to the 7 billion people on the planet that need Jesus. I refuse to allow satan to stop me but rather I preach the Gospel openly and freely to all men regardless of political status, financial standing, race or any other reason. I have always and will always walk through the doors the the Holy Spirt opens for me to preach the word of God to those that need hope and Gods help. Our (my wife and I) affliction and pain is almost to a point that it's impossible to deal with on a daily basis, we need your prayers. Please pray for my wife as she suffers every day of her life from debilitating migraines, fibromyalgia and pain caused by degenerating discs in her neck and back. Some of you that are reading this suffer pain every day so you know what I'm asking, some of you have no idea but trust me, you don't want to know. Please pray for us as we continue to serve our Savior.

"Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth."(Job 40:4)

"My Mouth". In this passage, it's the same Job that was in chapter one. In name only, on the inside, he was a completely different man. You notice, he says he's vile!! The Job in chapter one was all about what He was doing for God, Family and others. There is actually a list in certain chapters about the good things Job did and the bad things he didn't do. Human nature is always very proud of the good we do and the bad in which we don't engage. By chapter 40 Job has realized that he's not the "super spiritual man" that he thought he was in chapter one. In chapter one, we read about Job doing great things for God but in chapter 42, God is doing great things for Job and there is a vast difference between the two. The difference in being religious or being spiritual, religious is centered around doing things that make you feel good about yourself. Spirituality has to do with being filled with God, His Word, not following man made rules that make humans feel good about themselves. By the time Job gets to chapter 40, he realizes that he's not "the man", so he gets quieter as the days go by. I must be about chapter 40 of my life, I find myself getting quieter. I've realized that I probably don't know all the facts so I'll join Job and put my hand over my mouth. If I was asked to describe my life today I would say, "Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.” Job had spoken things that he regretted, believed things about God that wasn't completely balanced but now he's balancing and about to be blessed. He has overcome his greatest fears, he's lost his loved ones, he's scraped the sores on his body, and he finally looks within and covers his mouth to say no more. "And that ye study to be quiet ;"( Thessalonians 4:11). Some things are better left un-said. Please think before you say things about others, when you obviously don't know the whole story. God Bless

DEVOTION: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."(Matthew 7:7-8)

  "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."(Matthew 7:7-8)

"Ask",  Father, We come boldly before Your throne by the Blood of Jesus Christ to find mercy in our time of need!!    "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."(Hebrews 4:16) We are obeying your command to come with confidence and we know You will answer our plea for help because it's Your nature to listen to the cry of Your children!  You said if we ask, we receive- we seek, we find - we knock, it opens... In the verses in Matthew it says "everyone" that follows the protocol of those verses will get answers. Dear Jesus, we need answers to the cry of our hearts, we are hurting, we are sick, we are struggling, we are fighting but we are not convinced that we are winning. The bottom line is, we need You to step into our ashpile, the pile of ashes that's left from us trying to fix and control our lives. We know and are sure that if You step into the fiery furnace with us, this stress-mess will change because You change everything You touch.  Please Lord, just touch us, we don't care what You do because we know that whatever You do will be good. We need to see and feel the goodness of God.
  "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living."(Psalm 27:13). I'm believing to see the goodness of God in the land of the living, Lord let it be so!! Jesus, please rid our minds of the curse that thinks You are out to get us but rather let us get a revelation that You are a good God. I choose to believe the good not the bad, I believe in hope rather than hopelessness and I believe in You. We are all asking, seeking and knocking as we journey through life. We are constantly facing situations where we need you and right now we are overwhelmed with need. If not in our own personal lives, it's someone we know at work, church or someone around the world in a third world country.   "Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed:  because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me."(Psalm 86:17)   Just like the writer of this Psalm, we ask for a "Token" of good, a moment of truth that inspires us to keep trusting and believing You to touch us with Your power. O' Lord open the heavens and come down, invade our space and detach us from whatever is necessary that we may continue to enlarge Your kingdom.  In Jesus Name, Amen!!

VIDEO: Lavon Boatner on "Who is this GOD?"

DEVOTION: "And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go."(John 11:44)

"Loose him and let him go"  Lazarus was a friend of Jesus but he died. Just because you're a Christian doesn't mean that you are immune to the obvious challenges that are on planet earth. We can be very blessed but we still face things that try us on the path of faith. As the story goes, Lazarus dies, his body is prepared for the burial, he is put in the tomb and it is sealed by a huge rock. Although the circumstances were very bleak for about 4 days, Jesus showed up and called him forth from the grave. His voice spoke life into death, light into darkness, Jesus changes things in our lives! The four days that Lazarus was in the grave caused a tremendous amount of grief and sadness in the family. Although Lazarus was in a time of darkness and death, he was protected from the elements by his "graveclothes", something that appeared permanent was actually temporary. A "Temporary Necessity" due to the temporary circumstances, he needed the proper protection while in this situation. We all get in situations that are not fun, not exciting, emotionally draining, spiritually challenging and seemingly hopeless but they are temporary. If you are not completely aware of what is going on, just be still and wait on God to call you out into the light.  "Be still,  and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."(Psalm 46:10)
God has promised us that His sheep know His voice, so be still until  you hear Him call you out of your present circumstances, God doesn't forsake His children. When we are going through a spiritual shift we sometimes feel as if we are all alone in the grave but He has covered us in the protective gear because they are necessary for the moment.  Our problem is, we humans get attached to things and when we go through a time of detachment, we are very uncomfortable. We may not need some of the baggage that we have for our next Divine Destiny moment. Divine Detachment is not fun but a temporary necessity to get us ready for our next mission.  Let go of what you don't need so you can receive what you do need. Let it Go!!

DEVOTION: "Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:" (2 Corinthians 3:2)


   "Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:" (2 Corinthians 3:2)

"read of all men"  As Christians we need to be aware of the fact that people are watching us, sometimes by people that we don't know. If we are true to our faith in Christ we shouldn't need the general public to watch us to keep us on our spiritual toes but we are human. Salvation doesn't eliminate humanity out of our lives so we need all the accountability we can get to encourage our faith walk. We must always be aware that our highest accountability is to God.
I shared a story on Facebook about a young lady that recognized me as a Preacher in a store several miles from my home town. The story got a lot of "likes" and "comments", it is true that we need to live our faith at all places at all times. The first time that happened to me was around 1990 in a mall in Asheville, NC. Someone walked up to me and said, "You’re that Preacher I see on TV", I'm like, "excuse me"? I was thinking, I can't even hardly afford to buy a cheap television, much less afford to buy time slots on TV. The person was very sure it was me so we just let it go, walked away and I still remember what I said, "I'm famous and didn't even know it". It was a good laugh, and then we discovered that I was on TV, not only in North Carolina but several states. At the time we were traveling and preaching in a lot of churches, one of which that did have a TV Ministry. I knew they taped me, sold the videos to raise money for various ministries but had no idea that I was being aired in several states. In 1999 our ministry sponsored a crusade in Louisiana; it was taped and aired on several Christian Cable channels in Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas. Over a year later, we were in Olive Garden in Monroe, LA, a server says, "You're that Preacher on TV", I responded, "I have been, but it was over a year ago in this area". She replies, "O' no, you were on last week", I said, "Well it was a re-run"!!  There you have it, I've been so famous that they are playing re-runs and I didn't even know it. LOL.  The moral of these stories are, we shouldn't take ourselves too seriously but we need to be very serious about our Savior, Jesus Christ.  As Paul said, we are letters, read of men. When people read your letter, what are they reading about your life? They are reading you, whether you want them to or not, let's give them some good reading material. BTW, you can always start the letter over; it's called a new beginning in Jesus.

DEVOTION: "Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured."(Proverbs 13:18)


   "Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured."(Proverbs 13:18)

"Regardeth Reproof” Learning to Listen is a very valuable lesson in one’s life. Admittedly, we hear things that sting a bit but it's up to us what we do with the new revelation in our lives.  If the people in our lives really love us, they will tell us the truth. I'm sure some of our friends that we receive counsel from could use a little more tact in their speech at times.  The word "Reproof" in this text means to correct, so we must categorize the people in our lives that want to correct us in love or those that are simply just judging us. If you are going to grow in Christ, you will have to make an active choice of your will to allow your spirit to be reproved. There is one safeguard that I would suggest you put in place in your spirit before you go and get all submissive. Beware of people that feel they have been placed on earth as God's gift to correct humanity and especially you. But please be aware that God rewards those that respond to His reproof by way of His Word, His Spirit or by one of His servants.   "Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you."(Proverbs 1:23)  When God calls us to turn back and we turn, we will be blessed!! If we refuse to listen to His counsel and do not heed His warning we are headed down a destructive path that will have consequences beyond anything you can imagine.  "They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.   Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices."(Proverbs 1:30-31)
In our verse for today we are promised honor if we regard His reproof. The level of reproof is based upon the level of correction needed. Sometimes a parent may yell loudly at a child if they are stepping in front of a car but only whisper in other circumstances. Since February of 2011 God has been speaking to the Boatner Family about our future and revising our vision. God does this by revealing things to us by His Word, His Spirit, and circumstances that speak to us to tweak our course.  Please do not refuse His instruction but listen to Him and be honored!!'

"It is Better"  One of my favorite quotes is, "Show me your friends and I'll show you your future"! It is better to have wise friends to help guide you through life than to have friends that don't have a clue what they need much less what you need to do. Jesus called this type of lifestyle, "Blind leaders of the Blind", (better to have friends hurt your feelings with truth than to just console our ignorance.  ) "Reprove not a scorner,  lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee."(Proverbs 9:8) If you never listen to a wise person because they don't tell you what you want to hear, you have a problem.  " Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser:  teach a just man, and he will increase in learning."(Proverbs 9:9) Foolish friends will tell you whatever you want to hear instead of what you need to hear.     "Open rebuke is better than secret love."(Proverbs 27:5).   It is better to hear and know the truth than to be completely blind to what is really going on your life. If your life is not working, find someone it's working for and ask for some advice.  I know if you're a human being you may be jealous of their success in an area that you are failing in but your intimidation by them is going to rob you of your blessing from them.  Make sure they are not conceited in their success but humble enough to share the secret of their blessing. Most people dream about being successful but are not willing to do what it takes to bring about what they need.  Obviously you're going to have make some changes which will require humility on your part. The verse for today says "it is better to hear", so stop crying over your failure, listen to the wise and change your life!!    "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise:  but a companion of fools shall be destroyed."(Proverbs 13:20). Maybe you're hanging out with the wrong people, find a good church with a Preacher that preaches the word, get involved, listen and learn. There are 168 hours in a week, it only takes a few hours to attend a Wednesday night service, Sunday School and a Worship and Word Service each week to get biblical input into your life. In this new environment you will meet people that can assist you in being wise where you have been foolish. It will take some effort on your part but it will be worth it. Learn to listen to the right people!

"Minister of Grace" Below is a letter I received from our lead Pastor in India.  As most of you know I oversee and help guide these warriors of God. The church I pastor also helps provide their needs for ministry tools. We are in the process of praying in $12,000.00 to purchase a van and two motorcycles for God's House-India Churches. I am so humbled by this letter that I had to share it with our God's House/Scott Boatner Ministries International Family.
 Pastor Josh refers to watermelons in his last sentence because that's what they gave me along with coconut water to try and get me re-hydrated because I had de-hydrated to the point of being delirious on my 6th day there. Other than church and a few social outings I've pretty much been in bed trying to recover from the extreme conditions Daniel and I found ourselves in once we arrived.   FYI - Letter is posted as I received it- Be Blessed!

is so jealosy about you when you came to india,you touched many and
laid hands&prayed for  thousends and thousends, not only that you

god through the teachings,not only that do you remember at last
meating people cameto you , just like flood when you gave alter call,i
was trying to  stop but no.it was almost like a you crushed head of
satan by leading people into salvation.inever forget it .in commonly
india is the country where people blindly follow idolic hindhu
worshiip which god really hates it.by your coming you  made big
DIFFRENCE.i dont know how you feel it but isay from my heart you
really did  great job.ibelive strongly in coming daysi gods peace and

for all 30 pastors we ordianed&gave certficates to them on behalf of
our SBMinistries.sir my birthday on july10th,iwould love to be blessed

you.because last year you blessed me, lord used me and led me to

"Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward."(Deuteronomy 2:3)

"I've been here long enough". It's time to move on!!   I believe that my God has plans for me and I'm ready to walk in those plans.  In this passage, Moses and the children of Israel have been in one place too long, time to grow up spiritually and walk in all that God has for you. In order to advance spiritually, you must face the fact that movement doesn't denote spiritual advancement. You can sit in a rocking chair and rock until you die. You are not going anywhere.  Get a revelation! Just going to church on Sunday doesn't make you a victorious spiritual Christian no more than being in a chicken coop makes you a chicken. We all know the definition of insanity, repeating the same action over and over again, expecting different results. It's not going to happen until you choose to believe God about your future possibilities with Him at your side. You may ask, Bro Scott, how do I make something happen? You start by simply acknowledging that you are tired of where you are spiritually. One group defined it as "Divine Discontentment", I call it, "Get hungry or die empty", simply get hungry for God to do something in your life right now. Knock on heaven’s door every day until God opens the door that fits your gifts and calling that you believe you were born in which to function.
The Apostle Paul said that he didn't want us ignorant about our spiritual gifts but to eagerly seek the Gifts of God that are designed to make us effective in the earth.   "Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant."(1 Corinthians 12:1)  God has big plans for you, just believe!!
    "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,  according to the power that worketh in us,"(Ephesians 3:20)
I've decided to ask and think "BIG" and the power of the Holy Spirit is about to make something happen!!! Get ready because here it comes!!

DEVOTION: July 4, 2012


Today is the Fourth of July, the day we Americans celebrate the birth of our great country and the freedoms we enjoy. I thought you might want to know what happened to the 56 brave men that signed the "Declaration of Independence".


Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died. Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.
Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War.  They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. What kind of men were they?  Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants, nine were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well educated, but they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured. Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags.  Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward.  Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton. At the battle of Yorktown, Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt.
Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.  John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished. Some of us take these liberties so much for granted, but we shouldn't. So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and remember these Patriots. It's not much to ask for the price they paid. They sacrificed everything they had because our Freedom was not Free!!

"What God Thinks". Have you ever wondered what God thinks about you? As always, the Bible has the answer, God is thinking about you and your future! He has plans for you that will bring about peace and blessing in your life. The key to tapping into this amazing plan is found in the written word of God. Most people are in bondage to some religious thought process that holds them captive in a prison they call church. Unfortunately, some people like their cage because they are comfortable with the familiarity of the bondage. The Bible doesn't say anything good about staying in bondage to anything. The Bible does have a lot to say about being free and walking by Faith.        "For we walk by faith, not by sight:"(2 Corinthians 5:7)  Anything that controls your life other than God is a bondage, regardless of what it is.  God wants you to be free to follow Him into the future that He has for you.   "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."(John 8:32)  If you find it difficult to serve God according to the things you've been taught, there is one of two things wrong. You are either living in the flesh or you have been taught a twisted view of God's Word. If you are not right with God, the truth is going to sting some before it sets you free, but once you are free, freedom is priceless!! If you have been taught a twisted view of God's Word all of your life, the peace of freedom may feel strange to you at first but once you understand that God has plans for you, you'll regret everyday you spent in bondage to your flesh or false teachings. Please walk away from your flesh, false teachings, your fears, religious drama or whatever is holding you back and get a revelation of your future from God's point of view. If you are God's child, He has a purpose for you that you need to see for yourself. If you stay in bondage and never see the vision, you'll die where you sit, but worse than that, your children will think that spiritual deadness is the norm.  When spiritual death travels down through several generations with the allusion of what true spirituality is supposed to be, your great-grandchildren will continue drifting away from the truth. Once they hear truth with a vision, it scares them, because it's the raw power of God. The bottom line is, God has an expected end for us and we need to "KNOW" what that is right now!! Believe and Become everything God wants you to be!!!

VIDEO: Is There Still Hope For America?

"All talk and no heart". Isaiah preached to a group of people that are very much like some church people today. The one thing about human nature is it's dependable to keep doing the same thing over and over, generation after generation. I thank God for the wonderful people that serve faithfully in their churches every week, service after service, you are faithful to ensure that another service has been successful. A successful church service is one that enables people to grow in spirit and exposes others to the gospel of Christ. A successful church service is one that exalts Christ through worship and the Word of God. Unfortunately, in the midst of all churches there are people that appear to be taking a part but when it comes down to the wire and the real work begins, they are MIA. They talk much about how much they love Jesus, especially if they are in a momentary spotlight, but with their hearts they really don't serve Him, they are serving their own ego. When it comes time to invest some sweat equity, they are unavailable, no where to be found. The Christian experience is a lifetime journey that begins by meeting Jesus Christ and getting saved. Once you know Jesus, hopefully, you become part of a local church that preaches Jesus Christ on a weekly basis."  "For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake."(2 Corinthians 4:5)  When church becomes about us doing God a favor by being there with our "I'm wonderful" philosophy, such was the case in Isaiah's day, worship had deteriorated  to this status. Here is what God had to say about it;     "To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats."(Isaiah 1:11) God asked them, Why are you even coming and what's the point? Worship is a matter of the heart that may or may not involve your mouth, but it will ALWAYS  involve a pure heart.   "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God."(Matthew 5:8)
