"Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."(Isaiah 43:19)

"Something New"

The true challenge of life is to go to bed each night with the peace of knowing that you got it right today. I know we all want to complete the purpose that God has for us. He has plans for us that are beyond our wildest dreams. By Faith, dream so big that without God it will definitely fail. Don't dream small dreams that you can easily accomplish by yourself without God's power. The satisfaction of seeing a dream come to pass is knowing that God did this just for you because you are special to Him as an individual, not just mixed in with a large group of people. When God sends you a blessing with your name on it, you know it's yours because He hasn't allowed others to be in your place, it's obviously yours. The strange thing about a new blessing is it will bring you great joy but you may find that some people will not be happy for you because they are stuck in a rut but they fail to realize that they are not willing to do whatever is required to experience something new. At that moment you have to receive the opportunity in spite of the possibility that it might cause you some anxious feelings. When you feel anxious about stepping through new doors, that's a normal human emotion, not necessarily fear. We are emotional beings and all anxious feelings are not always fear, just your spirit man being stretched outside your comfort zone. In 1990 I was preaching a lot on the east coast so God open up a very nice home for my family to live in for almost two years during this season of revival ministry on the eastern seaboard. We moved to Saluda, NC/USA so we could be closer to the region where we were preaching revivals, camp meetings, bible conferences, etc... It was a great opportunity, the home was beautiful, mountain stream running through the yard and a water fall about 200 yards behind our home. It was more than a 29 year old preacher and his young family could ask for but the first night we were in this new location, I lay awake very emotional with what I called fear. I lay there, awake, all night thinking OMG, what have I done? When the beautiful sunrise peeped over the Smokey Mountains the next morning, I was fine. It was simply an emotional withdrawal from my familiar environment. We are almost always uneasy with the feeling of experiencing something new for the first time. It's much easier to just keep doing the same old thing. Most people are more comfortable in their "cage of the familiar" than stepping out of the boat onto the water with Jesus alone!! One last word of wisdom, don't do something new just for the sake of proving a point that you can. It is imperative that you have the leading of God and He will give you a peace that goes beyond your understanding. God Bless on your new path because you will be experiencing it very soon.
