"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"(1Peter 1:13)

"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"(1Peter 1:13)

"hope to the end". According to the Apostle Peter there is no time that we should give up hope. The word "end" in this passage means finished or complete. So whatever you are waiting for or believing for, just keep on praying till you get the answer. "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;"(Ephesians 6:18) "Perseverance" means to press on till it's done, don't stop believing God for an answer to your prayers. From Genesis to Revelation God's people always persevered till the job was done. So whatever you are fighting for, keep fighting, don't stop till the war is won. We are in a war against the spirit of darkness, not flesh and blood, but spiritual wickedness in high places. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."(Ephesians 6:12)
We do not need to tire in our service of God as we continue to expect Him to answer our prayers and fulfill our dreams. We must realize that serving God is a journey that is not complete till the coming of Christ. While on this journey we must remain faithful to believe the promises in the word. Peter says to "gird up the loins of our mind", in other words, keep your thoughts disciplined to stay focused on the task at hand. We must not give up on God's plans for our lives nor the lives of our children. I know it's not always easy, it's not always fun but we must continue our journey because it the path of life and peace. "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."(Galatians 6:9) "We shall reap", we have God's Word on it.
