"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."(Ephesians 4:32)

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."(Ephesians 4:32)

"forgiving one another". Once we are in the Family of God we are held to a higher standard than we were in our past. We are forgiven so therefore we are required to forgive those that have wronged us as Christ has forgiven us. I know you've been hurt real bad and real deep but to rid yourself of that pain, you will have to forgive those that have hurt you. It's going to be difficult, maybe even very emotional, but to be free and at peace it is a part of your daily forgiveness spoken about in this verse; "And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have alt against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses."(Mark 11:25) "When ye stand praying" refers to your daily forgiveness that we previously discussed. If these sins are not dealt with here on earth they will be dealt with at the Judgment Seat of Christ. "Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; "Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. "(1 Corinthians 3:12-13). If we as followers of Christ don't judge ourselves on a daily basis we will be judged before our Savior by the fire of His Glory. If we have good works they will be rewarded, our wood, hay and stubble shall be burned up by His Perfect Glory. "If any man's work abides which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire."(1 Corinthians 3:14-15) So with that being said, we must forgive those that have hurt us and let it go or we will stand before God carrying the sin of unforgiveness in our hearts. Now the pain of hurt and the bitterness of holding things against others will destroy you, little by little. I know what I say to you is strong, straight forward and difficult but very needful to restore your inner man to complete peace. Unforgiveness turns to bitterness and bitterness will cause sorrow of heart which will break your spirit. A broken spirit is like a vacuum that always takes the joy and peace out of your life.
