"And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him."(2 Samuel 5:10)

"Grew Great". It's God's will that we become great, greatness is part of God's plan for your life. We were born to be great for the Glory of God. The definition of greatness is the fulfillment of God's purpose for our lives which is our Destiny. Destiny is defined only by fulfilling God's ultimate purposes for your life. The pursuit of Greatness is hindered mostly by the fact that most of the people of God have no idea that God wants to make them great, they are oblivious to their God-given Destiny. You can have the problem of not being aware of the fact that just because you have a dream does not mean its God's vision for you. You have to be aware of God's desire for you and mold your dream around His desire, when they become one you'll become Great in the Kingdom. You have to realize it's a journey, it doesn't happen overnight, but if you stay your course you'll get there. Our biggest attachment in this life is people, get attached to the wrong people and you can forget your dream. Unfortunately most people are "Dream Killers", all of Joseph's brothers were dream killers. The brothers of David defined him as a failure from the beginning, not knowing that he was the son of Jesse that God and Samuel came looking for on anointing day. They referred to him as the insignificant boy tending sheep. You'd be surprised what God can do with the overlooked, unnoticed and seemingly insignificant person that is faithful to their mundane lives. Your life may seem mundane but it's training ground for the greatness that you will walk up on, it's just a matter of time, faith and openness to God's plan for you. In John chapter 1, Jesus said that His followers would see greater things, chapter 4, be greater and in John 14:12, DO greater things!!! Detach yourself from anything that is holding you back, evacuate any environment that is having a negative effect on your future. You're going to move in the direction that you are looking, stay focused on your vision at any cost and you'll get there in God's time!!
