"Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be
given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which
he seemeth to have."(Luke 8:18)
"Whosoever hath not". In this verse there are two different groups of
people represented, those that have and those that have not!! Jesus says
that if you
have, then you will be given more but if you don't have, what you don't
have will be taken away. If you will look closely at the verse you'll
see the words "seemeth to have", because we assume people have a good
heart because they look good on the outside. We make the mistake of
thinking that just because someone has something in their hands that
it's in their hearts to use it for God if they attend church. Jesus
makes it very clear that He knows the difference between service with
heart and service without heart. If God has blessed your hands with
talents to use for Him but you don't have the passion to do so, you will
have it taken away. You will look down one day and what you once had
will be gone because you never had the passion in your heart to use it
for the Kingdom. "Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto
him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be
given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be
taken away even that which he hath."(Matthew 25:18-29). You will look up
one day and what you once did for the advancement of the Kingdom of
God, someone else will be doing, because you didn't appreciate what you
had!! Those of you that have your hands to the plow and you have
plowing in your heart, to you more will be given in abundance. The God
of the harvest will make sure you are blessed by the harvest when the
crop comes in and it WILL come, just keep plowing!!
